Haha. I prefer to spend my entertainment dollar on the Bearcats anyway. Haven't been to a Bengals game in 6 or 7 years.

Speaking of that 9-0 win, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Reds bats are going to stay alive. For a team that wasn't hitting well toward the close of the season they sure have lit up the Giants' pitching staff the last two games. B Philips is 5 for 10 with a double, a homer, and something like 4 or 5 RBIs I think. Even Stubbs and Bruce got in on the action the latter which is a notoriously streaky hitter. Bruce is batting .333 in the post-season. There's no better time for him to get on a hitting streak than right now. Here's to hoping.

I'll take back every bad thing I ever said about Homer Bailey if the Reds win tonight.

Beautiful evening (not here; I wish I was in Cincinnati!), and the crowd is pumped. Go Reds!

Homer pitched a gem, the weather was outstanding, the crowd was insanely loud, the entire city was rocking, the downtown towers were lit up red, and ... pfft.

They better figure out a way to win tomorrow (Wednesday) and avoid Game 5. And it's not going to be easy because they really don't have any clear-cut starter for tomorrow.

Can't they just drop Simon instead of Cueto? Leake may have to pitch the game of his life.

In the entire history of baseball, no team in the National League has ever come back to win an NLDS series from a 0-2 deficit. I highly doubt the Giants are about to make history.

The Giants don't have to make history all at once, all they have to do is win today vs. the Reds' No. 5 starter who has pitched twice in the last 29 days. Conversely, today's SF pitcher, Barry Zito, is 7-0 since Aug. 2. Then, if this thing goes to Game 5, it's anyone's game.

The Reds had a chance to nail this thing shut once and for all last night. Now it's nothing short of a can of worms.

I don't totally disagree. But 2-1 is still a whole lot better than behind. Take the bait and throw anything you have to out there tonight. You are right if it becomes a game 5 noone is assured of anything. So throw the best you have at them tonight. If that comes up short you still have a game 5. At least it i still 2 good shots.

Good job, Reds! True winners! Do not even know why I got my hopes up as a Clevelander.
