It would appear the highly touted Clyffside Condo project may be dead in the water. The buildings have just been listed by Comey and Sheperd for 199,000.00 MLS 1201439 Cathy Frank is the listing agent for the two buildings.

I know many people bought over there "banking" on that project happening. I thought it was a good project. Maybe another buyer/developer will come along.

New news on the Banks Project.

Condo/Restaurant construction is going to start next month. You will actually start to see the steel rising for the buildings. Most of the construction you saw was the rising of much of the project above the flood plain.

Is there going to be any interesting architecture in the Banks?

What's the timeline for the buildings on the west side that apparently are not going to be built now? Soon? Five years?

Default GAT Pictures

Here are a few pictures that I took of the Great American Tower while downtown on January 20th. Looks like it has been making steady progress.

The facade only has about 7 more floors to go.

Cincinnati is slowly yet surely progessing forward. It is amazing how fast the Great American Tower went up compared to the banks project (I do recognize the banks is much bigger but still)

The Banks is even starting to go above ground level (even over the flood stage, which was a planned part of the develoment.)

The crown looks great so far on GAT, and the facade has one more floor to go. It looks great from all angles, and seems to change colors when the sun hits different sides.

the new washington park plan received yet another approval at the planning commission today. basically the PC rezoned the grounds of the old school (parking lot) to be in the park zoning designation. the plans for it are incredible, they are rehabbing the entire area where the school used to be that is now a parking lot...moving the parking underground and installing an outdoor stage big enough for the cincinnati orchestra and more than a football field of open green space. this isn't even mentioning all the improvements where the current "park" is. i think it will be a 'destination park' and result in the same kind of turnaround that the fountain square project has and is causing.
