I know I'm probably the odd-man out here, but I'm sorry - I just don't like the renderings in that pbase.com gallery. It's TOO typical of Cincinnati, and that's the problem. It's not that I don't LIKE the architecture - I just don't like it for the Banks project. There's already a glut of it downtown.

Ok, the Banks seem like they are taking forever, but that is a good thing for a lot of you who have no idea what is going on. They are just making sure that everything is going over smoothly and going over the plans to make sure everything will go as planned. Remember, once the steel starts to rise, it will go up very quickly.

Looks like we have yet another site for upcoming development...this time in Norwood!!
Lone eminent domain property sold | Cincinnati Enquirer | Cincinnati.Com
Any thoughts on this latest news? What should they build on the site now that Mr. Horney received his payday? I was thinking (hoping) a really nice park with bike paths and a pond but am expecting something more along the lines of an extention for Rookwood Pavillion/Commons. If they don't do it right, that area will be wayyy too congested (as if it isn't already).

Well, at least this guy didn't let himself get pushed around. He held all the cards, and could have kept the property as long as he wanted. But it's nice that he settled and perhaps this parcel of land can move toward being developed. As for what should be put there, what does Norwood need the most right now?

While it was his right, I think it's selfishness that was the issue. If he had been thinking of his fellows who have had to drive past that eyesore for the past two years, as well as the lost revenue for Norwood perhaps he would have sold sooner. Typical of people to want the right to keep their land while not being a responsible neighbor to others who had to suffer on his account. I'm not making a judgement either way about eminent domain but I do feel like this guy was just throwing salt in the wound in a childish manner.

The demolition of the garage for the new QCS2 is looking great, almost gone.
Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
And there is a new crane on the Banks site!

There is still debris to get removed, that is what I meant. They can not go on site as is right now and just start building yet.
