Hi-

I'm from the Nashville forum and could use a little help. I need to book a room for an employee who will be in your area for a few weeks. He'll be on two sites. One on Winton (cross street Compton) and the other on Montgomery (cross street Reagan Cty Hwy).

Any ideas for a relatively economical place that's somewhat centrally located?

Thanks!!

There are a few old, cheap motels off the Reading Rd. exit of Cross Cty (Reagan) Hwy very centrally located between the two sites. There's an Extended Stay America hotel off the Hunt Rd. exit of Cross Cty. in southern Blue Ash. There's also a good selection of hotels in northern Blue Ash right off I-71. If you stayed in one of those, you'd be about 15-20 minutes from the Finneytown site and about 5 minutes away from the Kenwood site.

Thanks! The "old, cheap motels" description doesn't sound like what I'm after. Is the Extended Stay America in a nicer area?

He'll be there awhile. We want him to be safe and happy

Try the Extended Stay America on the north side of Blue Ash, 11145 Kenwood Rd, just south of I-275. There is also Candlewood Suites, 10665 Techwoods Circle close by. This is primarily a business office park district, and I believe either would provide a pleasant environment while being reasonably close to his destinations. If you want to go whole hog, the Embassy Suites is right there too, plus another half dozen hotels.

I hope you found something suitable. Just about anything along or close to Reed Hartman Highway, which runs north/south through the Blue Ash Industrial Park between the Ronald Reagan Cross County and I-275 is a good bet. This property was once intended to be the Cincinnati airport, but northern KY jumped the gun and built CVG. The property was sold off for light industry and offices. The small city of Blue Ash profited immensely due to the commercial base. I am not saying it is cheap, being business oriented, but there are plenty of restaurants closeby, and the environment is peaceful at night once the business traffic leaves. If I were your employee and you put me up here, I would say Thanks Boss.

If money is NOT a huge issue, stay at the Candlewood Suites as the properties offer a lot more amenities and generally a more comfortable room.

If you do decide on the ESA, sign up online to their frequent stayer programs as they offer some pretty good specials.

Thanks! I had checked Candlewood. Totally do-able. Reviews weren't bad, either. A little noisy, but otherwise good.

I really appreciate your help. Online assessments only get you so far. Nice to have the opinions of those "on the ground".

(kjbrill- I appreciate the Thanks, Boss comment )

Any of the hotels on Reed Hartmann Highway would be a good choice. Blue Ash is about as safe as you are going to get and there are tons of restaurants in the area. I know Homestead Suites is a nice and safe place to stay. Here's their website: Homestead Studio Suites Hotels - Blue Ash, OH Hotel

Embassy Suites is just south of Homestead Suites, but it's a lot pricier. We live within biking distance of both properties and would not hesitate to stay in either one. The other poster is correct, if you end up in one of the properties on Reed Hartmann highway you'll be thanking your boss. We've stayed in many of them and we're local.
