Default Mochi Ice Cream: Cincinnati?

Is there any place in Cincinnati (restaurants, grocery stores) that has Mochi ice cream? I tried this in Chicago and fell and love with it. It's like little pastry balls filled with ice cream inside. Yummy!

Never heard of it. Sounds interesting. I kinda doubt you'll find it anywhere in the Cincinnati area yet. Only places I can think of would be Graeter's or Aglamesis, or else you may want to call some Chinese restaurants around the area to ask. Good luck!

I have read that Trader Joe's has it but haven't made the trek up there to see if they do yet.

Default Jungle Jim's

We went to Cincy last summer on vacation and found Mochi Ice Cream at Jungle Jim's - different flavors and different brands, too! Love that place, btw!

Have you tried any of the Japanese restaurants or stores? I think there is a Japanese/Asian shop in Mason on Mason-Montgomery Rd. called Mei. They might have it.

I had a student from Japan who would use Mochi in many different dessert dishes and I know that she purchased it at a specialty shop, just not sure if this is the one.

Yeah, I'd call the Japanese Restaurants:

Ko-Sho, Maki, Beluga, Dancing Wasabi, Mei, and Ando, etc ...

I love Jungle Jim's ... Great suggestion.

Trader Joe's has 4-5 different flavors. Frozen section, all the way down on the right hand side.
