Default Thinking about moving to Lewisburg

I am thinking about transfering to Lewisburg with Pratt Industries (Lewisburg Container). I am currently living in Wichita Kansas and would like to get closer to my Daughter in Chicago. I would like any info you have on Lewisburg; are the people friendly, it is a safe place to live, cost of living; 2 bed apt/house rental average cost, what is there to do, shopping (malls or Wal-Marts), what are the winters and summers like, etc.

Thanks,
D Moore

Lewisburg is a nice small town west of Dayton. Its very small. People are friendly though. Now the closest mall is the Salem Mall in Trotwood. Its not very expensive to live there. But there is a Walmart in Brookville. Any more info just ask. Good luck with your move.

Lewisburg is nice but i would move more towards the Cincinnati Metro if i were you. Like Middletown, Kings Mills, and Hamilton. All suburbs in the Cincy Metro area. All very nice and growing. But Kings Mills is still a smaller town. But dont leave out the Columbus Metro. Lincoln Village, Deleware, Arlington Heights, Dublin, Hilliard, and Westerville. They are all very nice and safe. With lots of shopping and entertainment. If you do decide to move to SW Ohio i guarantee you will like it there. Its got alot to offer. And its a great place to call home.

Metro area living sounds better. It wouldn't be such a major change for me. I am just wondering what the drive time would be commuting back and forth to Lewisburg to work. I think I have a lot of research to do. I am planning a trip to Chicago over Memorial Day to visit my daughter and I am beginning to think it may be a good idea for us to drive down and actually see these places. Thanks again. You are being very helpfull.

Well DMoore glad to help. I have a question. Are you moving to Lewisburg or are other places a possibility too? Because if so there are plenty of other metro living areas that i could give you. SW Ohio has alot to offer. I mean you have the rolling hills of the Cincinnati metro and you have Columbus. Both are really great cities. And they both have alot to offer. If you have other places in mind just ask. And glad to be a help. Im pretty sure you will like it in Ohio.

Well low and behold I found out that there is another box plant owned by Pratt Industries 45 miles outside of Chicago in Valapaiso, IN. My focus in now on that area. I want to thank you for all your help. Ohio is not totally out of the picture becuase who knows what will really happen with my job situation. One thing is for sure, nothing will happen as fast as I would like it to.

Well good luck with wherever you choose to move to. Hopefully you will find a place soon and get to be closer to your daughter more so than in Kansas. If you choose to move to SW Ohio i know you wont be let down but Indiana is a nice place to move to also. Once again i wish you the best of luck with your move.

I wouldn't move there if you paid me to move there. I heard there is a KKK group there that get together on private property. Though I never met anyone that was about any of that hate.

My cousin lived out there and I went out there a lot to visit. Almost everybody in the town is always on vacation in some other place. Its a very sleepy little town. Almost all of the kids smoke pot and drink. Most of them are hippies. Everyone basically knows each other there as far as the kids go. They all took trips to mountains all over the country, and Mexico together. They're very cliquish if you ask me. I also thought kids were very friendly initially, but after that they were seriously lacking in manners, and they all just want to party.

Its way out of the way from everything too. There are some awesome homes there, and a good pizza place. But that's the only good things that come to mind. I would consider it a very dishonest, backwoods hole in the wall.
