Two apartment complexes in Oakley immediately come to mind, as each has a pool, fitness center, and an abundance of 20-somethings. I'm not sure about the rent. One is Windsor at Brookstone Village (very near I-71 and the Norwood Lateral, but not walkable to much); the other is the Drexel, which is right across the street from Hyde Park Plaza, a shopping area, and very walkable for your dogs. You'd be looking at an easy 10-minute drive to downtown. Windsor definitely has w/d hookups; don't know about Drexel.

Stay out of Loveland if you ever want to see people your own age. Loveland is mostly families and while safe (in the most boring sense) there is no real energy in the area. It's a lot like Suburban-anywhere USA. If that's what your looking for it may suit you but I'd say the Clifton Gaslight area or somewhere comparable would be your best bet. If you plan on having a social life that is. I know Cincinnati may have a bad crime rep for the rest of Ohio but I've been out on the street at 4 am and if you just survey your surroundings and don't walk around alone and inebriated like many of the college students around UC who end up getting robbed I do not think you will have a single issue.
