I have no idea whether it is a good place to work, but it is the main teaching hospital in Cincinnati and it was a fine place to be a patient. Some people who live further out in the 'burbs are a bit turned off by its city location and concomitant population, but for academic excellence, you couldn't do better.

I don't know for myself but I do have friends that work there and love it. I do know that the associates seemed happy when my husband was a patient there. He got the best of care and really, I think if the employees were unhappy, it would show in the care they give.

I don't really know about working there, but University Hospital has a great trauma unit. If I needed it, I am glad I am in a city that has such fabulous hospitals. Cincinnati Children's Hospital is also one the best in the world.
