I searched for posts, but didn't see much in the way of information. Can anybody tell me about Talawanda, Ohio? I've applied for a job at one of the schools. I'm from Green, Ohio near Akron, so I don't know much about that area of Ohio.

Wondering about neighborhoods, homes, apartment average rent, things to do, size of the town.. stuff like that. I actually searched for Talawanda on the city-data homepage, & it's not there! Haha. Is it a small town?

Any help of info would be greatly appreciated!!

You need to search Oxford, the town where the Talawanda district is located. It's a small, quaint, very attractive college town, home of Miami University. Mostly rural, but only about a half hour or so (maybe 45 minutes) from Cincinnati and just a few minutes outside of Hamilton. The kids will be a mix of mostly white rural families and college professors kids. Good school. Relatively inexpensive living, yet safe and family friendly living.

I graduated from talawanda in 06, grew up in oxford. Its a great place to live, you can find all the things you would want like walmart, kroger, etc in oxford and only about a 20 minute drive to malls, shopping, etc. During the school year its mostly students but summers are great, the talwanda district is a great place to go to school I thought, it was always great staff and students, and a great town. Very safe, teh only crime really is student related and rare to have anything big happen. The students make up most of the population, but it is a small town considering "uptown" is a square mile.
