there is a natural gas supplier in Dublin Ohio called IGS Energy aggressively marketing their natural gas supply on your duke energy gas service.

this will not save you any money on your natural gas bill,it will actually increase your bill.

they are calling and sending out mailers.

tell these people to take you off of their list,if they call you.

I've been getting calls from them for months. As far as I can tell, I agree with your assessment - IGS will actually increase your bill. It's probably not fraud b/c you can lock in your rate. So if Duke had a massive price spike you could theoretically save money. But for the most part it seems pointless.

I just follow the general rule to never do anything (business, charity, etc) with a telephone solicitor, period.

Good rule. I get these fliers and i throw them out. I guess i have a similar policy with crap in the mail. If it aint from someone i know, it gets thrown out.

Word. Telemarketers rate as low as Nigerian e-mail scammers on my list.

I use those third party supplier once and actually lost money, they were more expensive. So I will never do that deal again. They want you to lock the rate now because the rates are going down. Duke Energy will drop their rate as market fluctuate.
