I think I still have a box of plastic mugs won at timeout at my parents house. Looking back at it now it's interesting to think how innovative the place was to be running more of an amusement park than a mall.

I've read comments by people who attempt to take pictures at this mall being harassed and told to leave by security. Obviously this was filmed on the "downlow".

Very sad. A tremendous waste.

Mike, you're right, that's one impressive video. Thanks for posting it. The only thing missing is a couple of T-rex and a brontasaurus ambling through there. The day of the ginormous enclosed shopping mall is pretty much over. The smart thing to do would be to try to covert that place to some other use, like office space, or just tear it down.

We keep hearing about it being converted into some sort of tourist destination, but nothing ever seems to happen.

If I were one of the few retailers remaining there I would be moving out, just due to the depressive environment.

Yes, they put out a press release, which is what is reported on the news. On a facility this large, and with their history, the news is going to report the press release, after all it appears to be news. But again, nothing ever seems to happen.
