Default Best Fish

With Lent fast approaching, I was wondering who serves the best fish? Frisch's serves a pretty good fish sandwich; Clearview Tavern in Delhi makes a good fish log and I will probably go there for a meal but does anyone know of maybe a small hole-in-the-wall place that makes the trip there worth the drive?

Arthur's (not Treachers) Cafe in Hyde Park or The (faux British) Pub @ Rookwood in Norwood were both pretty good.

Agree that the Pub in Rookwood is good. Frisch's used to be good not any more.

But the best fried fish available is the Alabama Fish Bar at Race and Liberty. Get the cod dinner. They also have whiting. Don't be afraid. Pull up in front on Liberty Street and park. Go to counter right away and place order and pay, step back and they will call your number when its ready. Couple minutes at most.

I like to stop by Alabama's before Reds games sometimes. You get a lot for your money there and the fish is awesome. If you go during the day then safety shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Try the Crow's Nest on West Eighth Street in Price Hill.

Another vote for Alabama's Fish bar. What a place? Great deal for your money and while the surrounding neighborhood is a little ragged it is nothing to fear. Not fish, but along with Mr Pig in OTR, they are two of Cincy's more lesser known food gems.

I thought Clearview closed and the property bought by Delhi Township. I heard they torn the restaurant down. I am not positive, but that's what I heard.

That aside, The Green Derby, in Newport KY, is famous for their fish.

Old Bag of Nails Fish & Chips in Mason on Kings Mills Rd, opposite end of Kroger Building. It is lightly breaded and fried cod, and you don't have to worry about being mugged in the parking lot, though I am sure you don't in Blue Ash either.
