Hi everyone! I am new to this forum, I have accepted a faculty position at a university in Cincinnati and I was hoping you could answer some questions for me.

1) What are some good hangout places for single young professionals?

2) Are there any particular hangouts where I might come across some Hispanics, particularly Hispanic professionals?

3) What are some of the best things the city has to offer a young professional like myself? How about some of the limitations?

4) I currently live in a small town for school, but I am used to Northeast cities like NYC and Washington DC. What should I know about Cincinnati that is very different from those cities?

I can't help you specifically with the Hispanic question, but welcome, and I can recommend a few places downtown (which is where I live):

Check out Nada, contemporary Mexican food and a good happy hour, corner of 6th and Walnut.

Nicholson's is also on Walnut, a pub-style place.

Havana Martini Club at Fountain Square....some of the best martinis in town.

Or, in the Hyde Park/Oakley area...Habits in Oakley Square is cool, as well as Arthurs and many other places in Hyde Park square.

P.S. If you haven't been to Ambar India yet in Clifton....you are missing out.
