I retuned to the midwest four years ago after living in the west for 25 years. I found a house in Blue Ash for under 200K. I had to give up a bit and it was not as nice as my old house but prices were much different four years ago. After four years of my son at Sycamore schools I am very happy we made that decision. Like the other posters here there are several good areas for you to look at. My daughter is looking for her first home in the West Chester and Mason areas and is finding some really nice homes for well under 200K. These schools are also very good. You have many choices in the area and I am confident you will find the house you can afford. Good Luck.

Default Go for Deerfield/Landen

Kings schools are great and housing is very affordable. But realize, even thoough it's only 20 miles from Cincy, it takes more than 30 minutes (try 60) during rush hour. So does Mason and Anderson. Blue Ash and Montgomery are closer, but you'll get a lot more bang for your buck in Deerfield Township!
