West Chester
When checking out West Chester, try looking into Mason Schools. Here is the link.
Mason City School District
When reviewing Florence, which you should add Burlington, Hebron and Union....here is the link to Boone County Schools.
Welcome to the Boone County Schools

The area of Blue Ash was recommended. Any input on that vs West Chester?
Thanks for all the help!!

Not sure what you mean by the "system" they have in Lakota.
Lakota is a huge district. There are two high schools because so many people live in the area. It serves two townships....West Chester and Liberty. West Chester alone has close to 60,000 people. Figure in Liberty, which as about 33,000 people, and you're talking a lot of kids. So the reason they have a separate Freshman school is simply because of volume. It acts as a buffer between the middle school and high school. The Freshman school actually used to be the old high school. As for the middle and elementary schools, you'll basically find the same structure in other Cincinnati areas...for instance, Oak Hills.

The West Chester school system is BIG. I went to HS in what is the now freshman building on Tylersville when it was the ONLY HS in the district. There were 2 Jr. highs at that point. I went to one school and my cousin went to the other...then when we were freshman we finally got to go to school together. It was kinda weird to live in a neighborhood and then all of a sudden meet a bunch of other kids you never knew. I PERSONALLY FEEL (my opinion so please dont get upset!) that the school district is too big. But if I had to choose between Lakota and Mason---I dont know which I would choose, as they both have good report cards.

I agree. Mason SD is actually larger than Lakota. In fact, it rivals Oak Hills as the largest school in Ohio (attendance wise), and most likely will pass up Oak Hills soon. The Mason HS itself is the largest physical campus in Ohio.

Good catch, first post of the day, before my coffee finished brewing...when in doubt, blame it on coffee.

LOL! I understand the feeling. If I don't get my coffee, I'm a bit grumpy!

My school had departments. I was very well-acquainted with the detention department.
But ... I didn't go to school in Cincinnati.

System??? What about the system?
The beginning and end to anyone's success from a single individual to an entire nation starts at the kitchen table.
Take responsibility for yourself and your children, forget the system. Some of the most powerful minds formed when attending public schools that were "subpar."
