Yes, when I was a kid we listened to Will with a Way, Stan Matlock, Jerry Thomas, and Granny on a little kitchen radio. Wow, I haven't thought of that in years! Times have really changed.

IF my answer to the undying "Mid-Century Reading Road" thread, the separate one about Vine St and Springfield Pike, hadn't dropped off the radar you could've posted there. LOL.
The "Indian" sign is still very much alive in the same place it's always been. But the neon tubes which were set to cause the, uh, Native American's arm to "wave" after dark fried a long time ago. Some committee or commission or whatever had it designated historic so that it won't be removed without a fight. I haven't bothered to commit to memory what the name of the used-car dealer is now, but it was called the Mohawk Motor Co when the sign was put up and for many years thereafter. (Hard-core Cincinnati historians may be able to confirm whether or not the dealer had originally set up shop in the little corner of town around Central Parkway and the foot of Ravine St that's known as Mohawk.)
When I was a "little shaver" - in other words, too young to shave, hahaha - I spent some evenings and Saturdays at the Vogue as well. There's a whole paragraph's worth of recollection by me, as well as contributions from others, somewhere in this forum. This boy went through some changes when it closed. The news had been kept from me, so it was a major shock to an approximately 8- or 9-year-old to see the building getting torn down.

[quote=keedz;9922466]Hi there! This is keedz! In reality, were you seaking to destroy roadside bombs with pulsed microwave energy, suitable radar sets already exist which could blow those devices to smithereens by virtue of RF heating. The problem is that you would also kill civilians in the nearby vicinity or deliver serious RF burns to them I think.Thank's!.../quote]

Normaly I would sing like Monty Python ; spam spam spam spam !
But in this case I'm singing; troll troll troll troll ! 3 posts so far,

First you say you are from Canada on the Montana board.
Then you post the above garbage on this board.
Your third post was on the Montana board where you claim to be from Italy. Your English language style is almost identical in one post to the way the Nigerian scammers write.
Keedz is either a troll or a moron, I'm guessing both.
I'm reporting all of your posts to the mods as trolling.

But there WAS a Cherokee Motors, right? I even seem to remember the commercials -- the guy in a headdress, speaking in a fake, stereotypical Indian accent "Cherr-o-keee Mo-torrrs, Sev-en-tee-five Oh-Five Vine, Whurr Pad-dock Meets Vine at th' Big In'dyan Sign"

Or maybe just another hallucination . . . .
