I could be very wrong but I think it is just the department stores going out of business. I bought my husband a recliner there this past December and the salesman was saying something about allowing the liquidators to use their name for the liquidation sale.

I can't imagine VC Furniture closing, because they've always been crowded when I'm in there. The furniture is pretty decent, though not the greatest. But I don't see a problem in buying something there and then facing the need to return it later because of some defect. Besides, you only have 30 days anyhow....or is it different with furniture purchases?

According to a October 28th article on WCPO's website, Value City is closing all of the department stores, and Value City Furniture is not closing, because it is a separate company.
