The first one, in Westwood, is actually right on the edge of the city limits. The City of Cheviot is just around the corner from that location...I personally think this is the best area of the large neighborhood of Westwood. You have some great churches nearby, community center, stores, a cluster of bars and a couple of parks.

I'm not too familiar with the second one in Mt. Healthy...so I won't comment.

Finally the last you have, off of Colerain a bit, isn't all that bad of a location. If I had to make a judgment I would say that this location will probably be very similar to the second one you listed (in Mt. Healthy).

I'd go with the one in Westwood...you've got some great neighborhood amenities, and very quick/easy access to downtown via Harrison Ave/Western Hills Viaduct, Montana/I-74, Montana/Westwood Northern Blvd/Hopple St Viaduct. I often times take these routes during rush hour to avoid any congestion on the highways...and they are equally as quick.

I lived in a very nice townhouse off of Montana Avenue in Westwood. I even lived in a nice apartment off of Cheviot Road near Colerain High School. I would pass on the Mt. Healthy area. The best place I lived and stayed the most time at though was in the Anderson Township/Forest Hills area. Very nice area and not far from downtown.

A good friend of mine lives off of Hazelwood. Very quiet, friendly neighborhood.

I'm sure it's clear. I've driven over there to go to a wedding at a chuch in Westwood. It's like going into Baghdad.

It depends on where you are in Westwood. Most of the area is absolutely gorgeous, especially closest to Cheviot and the Westwood Town Hall.

But the thing about Cincinnati is that you can walk 5 minutes in any direction and be in a completely different area than you came from. You can't say "neighborhood X is trash," because not all of it is.

Evidently it isn't so clear since people seem to be doubting/questioning you on it. I also think its a bit sensational to compare any place in Cincinnati, or the United States for that matter, to Baghdad.

Default Living in WestSide

Hi there. the WestSide has many different little areas and at any given time, you can find a nice area vs. not so nice area. We happen to live in a Ranch condo (as large as a house) where mostly retired folks live in Monfort Heights, right off N Bend Road. It's quiet and we've never had any problems. Great thing is, we live near 74 and before any bad areas. We are selling but only because we decided we want a yard to take care of and things like that. But they are building more condos on our street, but it's in the process of going thru the courts. A new builder will be taking over. Check it out on Emerald Ridge, 45211. But the best thing is, to drive around and take a look at the neighborhoods, you'll get a quick feel of where you might feel comfortable. Hope this helps.

I would recommend checking out Covedale. Great homes in a pedestrian friendly neighborhood. Great residents and a brand new elementary school that consistently achieves an excellent rating.
