Default Things to do in Cincinnati

Me and my girlfriend are coming down to cinci from columbus next tuesday for the dmb concert. We where looking for some ideas of what we could do wednesday before heading back to columbus. We would also like some recommendations of some good restaurants that we don't have in columbus (so no skyline). We were thinking of going to the aquarium but it is kinda expensive. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Default The Z List

Go to the zoo. You might laugh at the thought, but it's way ahead of anything like it in C'bus or just about anyplace else within 300 miles or so. Before or after that, stop in at Zip's in Mt Lookout for one of their famous burgers and watch their model train "zip" around.

fluorescent is on a distinguished road
The Art Academy of Cincinnati is free and really good. It is also located in a beautiful neighborhood with great views of downtown and plenty places to eat and drink.

Also the HofBraushouse in Newport is a really fun place to eat. After dark everyone gets on the long tables to dance, sing, and swing the delicious liters of beer around. It was the second one outside of Munich, Germany. They may have built more in other places by now. It's also right across the street from the Aquarium if you decide to go there.

If neither of those first two choices sound good to you, then I recommend you go to Ludlow Ave to find a place to eat. The street is filled with a ton of VERY good resaurants such as Ambar India, Biagios Bistro, Olives, etc.

Try some Cincinnati chili, if only to say you did. There are dozens of "parlors" in town, one of them being the Skyline at Clifton and Ludlow.
The Fire Museum on West Court St downtown is free, and "different" for sure!
