Default I wonder where ?

I wonder where the current residents of OTR will re-settle after they are displaced. Not really -- I already have a pretty good idea - welcome to Westwood.

I work all day, every day, 300 feet from Liberty Street and have for 10 years and have experienced only a homeless person rummaging through my glove compartment, and some missing copper from my outside air conditioner. So, that is a 25% chance per year approximately.

If Channel 9 told me the sky was blue, I wouldn't believe them.

I worked in Over the Rhine for many years myself -- at several of those "dumping ground" social service agencies one person was whining about in response to the blog in the first post -- and never had an issue with crime, and never felt insecure or threatened.

Do you have to be careful and aware? Hell, yeah, but you have to be careful and aware in any neighborhood.

The sad thing is that no one really cares. The city doesn't care. The historic preservationists don't care. The redevelopers don't care. The "gentry" moving into the neighborhood don't care. Just put those people somewhere else.

Not really good at all. They say 2007 crime was down, they give us one year. Hardly convincing without seeing like 2000-2008 crime stats.

The study predicted there would be 457 violent crimes per year in one fourth of the neighborhood of OTR. The reality is, there are on average fewer than 400 violent crimes in the entire neighborhood.
