Remember the QCT signs that went up in the (I think) 60s? Follow the signs to all of the major landmarks.

I'm curious if they are still up and if anyone knows where to get a guide.

Yes, many of them are still up but you can't really follow them. I tried once and a few are missing that tell you when to turn to stay on the tour. I'm not sure if there is a map available of the tour, but you can probably check with Cincinnati USA ((859) 581-2260), they may know.

I bought a guide book for that tour at Joseph-Beth several years ago. I'll look for it when I get home later.

This is an older thread but I feel that I should post to it since this is the thread that helped me discover CD.

One Sunday we were driving around and like many times before I saw one of the Queen City Tour signs. But this time, it became more of an interest and then turned into an obsession.

I found very little information on the tour except for this post and that it was started in 1970 and a few blurbs about the tour from old issues of Cincinnati Magazine.

Anyway, I started at Joseph Beth in Rookwood and they did have the tour book at one time but they were out. I found my copy at Fountain Square News (they have quite a few copies). I have also heard that they sell it at the Museum Center.

The copy I found was last updated in 1996 and I don't believe that it has been updated since that time so it does have points of interest like Cinergy Field but if you follow the maps, you will find much more.

I believe that the majority of the signs are still up. Some are faded and there are signs missing around the Riverfront (Paul Brown Stadium/Banks/Freedom Center/Great American Ball Park). My guess is with all of the changes in that area, they weren't put back up.

Now, the tour is a driving tour that is supposed to last approximately 2 hours. I guess if you stay in your car and drive around pointing at things that is probably true but I found myself stopping and walking the different parts of the tour and taking pictures along the way. If you really want to see Cincinnati, I recommend that you do it this way but a word of warning: if you do stop, walk around and take pictures you will need more than one day to do this. I got across the river into Covington before I had to call it a day. Well, I did skip over parts of Covington and headed to Eden Park and Mt. Adams so I kind of did things out of order.

Anyway, I am hoping to complete the tour before the end of the nicer weather. My plan is to post my experience and pictures somewhere. When I do, I will update this thread.

Mrs M and I were at Playhouse in the Park and needed to get to Prima Vista. In cutting across town, we saw NEW QCT signs in several locations on the way. They must be restarting QCT

There is a blog/website about it, a lot of signs are no longer there, but if you want to do it, this is a good guide (it even has a few new things added that were omitted from the original tour and describes places that were demolished too).
