Default PHC on NPR from Riverbend

We just got back to our hotel from an evening at Riverbend. Garrison Keillor was there and his concert was recorded for this weeks NPR program, A Prairie Home Companion, airing on Saturday. Anyone out there who likes Cincinnati, or who likes PHC or who likes old time radio programs is sure to enjoy this. Check your local listings for your local Public Radio Station.

It's funny, I never got hooked on PHC or Garrison Keillor. All of my friends listened and kept trying to get me to listen. I grew up with old time radio. I guess PHC was not for me.

Like Seinfeld. Never liked that show either

Garrison Keillor is the one reason I do not donate to WVXU (serious). That show is the most annoying thing in radio history (aside from rush) and his voice makes me turn the station immediately upon hearing it...ugggg. There, I finally said it.

I stopped listening to NPR and tuned into WLW as I deliver my loads around the extended Tri-state because I'm too lazy to tune in another station when the current one fades...

That show is hit or miss. Some episodes and skits are great, others are boring. I have come to enjoy the predictability of it, as strange as that may seem. I listened a little while on Sunday, but had to leave the house. This didn't seem like their best.

Car Talk keeps me coming back to NPR. All Things Considered has lost its way in trying to appeal to a younger audience, and it seems to be incapable of presenting things objectively (not sure if it ever did). But PHC is, at the very least, the same as it was when I was a kid.
