Good Eats
Well, it depends on how much you want to spend.
I'd say that if you're going higher end, you should check out The Precinct for a good steak or Bootsy's for... well the character of the place. Some other good higher end options are Nada (contemporary Mexican), the Celestial Steakhouse (great view), Nicola's (great Italian), Prima Vista (great Italian/great view after dark), and the Oceanaire (great seafood). Great French food can be found at Jeanro’s between 4th and 5th streets on Vine. I haven’t been there myself, but I have on good authority that the LavOmatic Café on Vine Street also has great French food.
For a midrange option, I'd recommend the Hoffbrauhaus in Newport or Nicholson's downtown. Some other great options would be Sung's Korean Bistro (try the Dolsot Bibimbab) or the Rock Bottom Brewery (right on Fountain Square). You can find great Thai food in Mt Adams at Teak, or in Hyde Park at Wild Ginger. Molly Malone’s in Pleasant Ridge is my favorite Irish pub, although O’Malley’s in the Alley is a pretty cool dive after a Reds game (great atmosphere, probably more along the lines of cheap eats). For north Indian Food, I love Akash India. For south Indian food, Amma’s Kitchen on Reading Road is really good. Arnold’s Bar & Grille downtown is a pretty eclectic place with a cool courtyard, and the oldest bar in Cincinnati to boot. Breakfast? If you were near downtown Hathaway’s or First Watch would be my two picks. In the mood for a British tea room? Try Churchill’s in Carew Tower. Andy’s Mediterranean Grille also has great food, and you can smoke a hookah to boot!
For an economical bite to eat? I always recommend Izzy's on Elm St and Garfield Place (or other locations around the area) for great corned beef sandwiches. Skyline is also great. Larosa's pizza is pretty darn good and a Cincinnati staple. For coffee, the Coffee Emporium is one of my favorite places. If not there, Tazza Mia is a great joint right near Fountain Square. If you’re in Mt Adams, you cannot miss Koka Coffee – one of my favorite places in the whole city.
Dessert? Well, I have to second goyguy on Graeters iced cream. I’d also recommend checking out the Bonbonerie for a slice of their Opera Cream Cake.
I hope that this helps. The long and short of it is finding good food isn't a problem in this city.
P.S. Speaking of great food, check out Findley Market if you get a chance. I recommend a the Belgian Waffles.

Sorry I'm late with this post, but here goes.
I really enjoy Grand Finale and Barresis. Here are the links:
The Grand Finale Restaurant - Cincinnati, Ohio
Barresi's Italian Restaurant // Home Page
For less expensive eats I'd recommend:
Blue Ash Chili - for double deckers
Graeters - for old-fashioned handmade ice cream
Village Kitchen on Wooster - it reminds me of my Grandma's cooking/kitchen
Rileys in Greenhills - nice family restaurant
Skyline Chili - great, but unusual, cheese coneys and three ways
Toots on Montgomery - a quirky place that serves fried pickles
Silver Wok on Kenwood - a seven table, family owned, Chinese joint
Echo on Edwards - no frills, just great food
Arthur's on Edwards - good food w/Graeter's right around the corner
I hope you get to sample some of these local favorites. Happy eating!

Dixie Chili in Newport is great! Can't go wrong with Skyline, either, although it's just a tad pricier.
I'd love to try out Gyros in Newport, as well as Elm Street Cafe in Downtown Cincy and, yes, the infamous Montgomery Inn.
Greater's is excellent ice cream, I'd recommend the Buckeye Blitz! However, I don't think it's any better than, say, Baskin Robbins or Cold Stone, it's just more local.
Oh, last but not least, LaRosa's...yes! Went to the one in Newport last weekend and it was awesome.
There's no excuse not to try at least a new restaurant a week in Cincy unless you just don't want to... I want to try out more neighborhood joints than local chains for the next few weeks, so maybe I'll have an update here soon.
