As a business traveler, that is a major pet peeve of mine. Driving in a city that you are not familiar with and hear someone radio saying take norwood lateral instead of cross county hwy, or avoid the cut in the hill. Be careful when approaching spaghetti junction, etc.

Cross County Highway was a two fer

I mentioned "Eden Park & Mt Adams" last time without elaborating on the latter - my bad! Just on the other side of the Art Museum from Eden Park lies Cincinnati's answer to San Francisco (in least in terms of being hilly, trendy, and expensive.) It's debatable whether Mt Adams has any flat parts, constructed as it is on steep hillsides in all directions. The narrow streets are lined with "contemporary" homes scrunched in with older rowhouses, with some perenially popular nighttime gathering places like Daveed's, the Blind Lemon, and the Celestial Steakhouse (atop the St Gregory high-rise) in the mix. Views of the river, downtown, and Kentucky are million-dollar - literally, for the residents whose balconies have them. Parking may prove to be a challenge, but it's a fun place to poke around.
As for named highways, that time seems to have come and gone. The Miami & Erie Canal was paved over before the Interstate highway system was conceived, so the road was named The Mill Creek Expressway for a nearby natural body of water. Once it was assigned a route number (I-75) people largely forgot about its original name. Interstates 71 and 74 were supposed to be the Northeast and Northwest Expressways, but the label didn't catch on for either. A piece of the Cross County Highway was in place all by itself for well over 25 years, between Reading and Montgomery, before its sound-barriered way was shoved through Hartwell + Finneytown etc. By the time the road was completed and renamed for Ronald Reagan (I wasn't consulted on that one, lol) "Cross County" was imbedded in the collective memory. And... who calls I-275 the "Circle Freeway" any more? Calling Cincinnati's "limited access roads" by other than their route numbers is a sign of a native past a certain age. (BTW "Norwood Lateral" = Ohio 562.)

There is a report for that hotel on "The Bedbug Registry," although the report is two years old.
