Keep your personal life out of this.
Given the fact that not very many people have responded can we just set a specific time as opposed to a 5 hour window? This way no one shows up at 7 and finds no one there. Is there a place that would be a shorter drive for the few involved? At this point we should do a place like Chicken On The Run which would be really close to Hartwell Girl assuming she is in Hartwell and closer for us too.

I'm not going to dignify baseless racial paranoia with a response beyond this post. Tennessee Ave is in Paddock Hills, where the crime rate is THE lowest in Cincinnati District IV (even lower than Hartwell.) Blue Gibbon's located a short block south on Paddock Rd, then right around the corner on Tennessee, from the Norwood Lateral. Ergo, access is quick and easy from 71 as well as 75 if people are driving from some distance away. Nervous White folks are welcome to have their own party at Newport on the Levee or a chain restaurant in Fairfield or wherever suits 'em better.
My parents are pushing 80, have "baggage" from being raised Down South, yet think nothing of patronizing Porter Paints (at Tennessee and Reading Rd) or Sugar n' Spice (in the same immediate area.) They used to haunt Natorp's when it was on RR opposite Sugar n' Spice. And to this day, if they've been away from home and aren't feeling like cooking supper - and it's getting on towards 8 or 9 at night - the Gibbon's high on their take-out list. Mom makes the call while Dad makes the run.
No place is going to stay in business, let alone prosper, if they're not well situated and people have a real reason to be leery of visiting. Blue Gibbon's been in operation for over 25 years at the same spot. I'm sorry some folks "don't like the neighborhood" and will therefore have to miss out. God don't like ugly and neither does goyguy.

Oh, for God's sake. I was commenting on the likely lack of business on a Sunday afternoon, rather than the neighborhood. The neighborhood is perfectly fine and Blue Gibbon's food is even better.
Oooh, Sugar and Spice. Another favorite haunt when I worked at the FreeStore. And Chili Time in St. Bernard. And ...

I didn't mention race, what stood out most to me going through there was all the shut down industrial facilities.
All I was trying to do was make this easier for everyone else so no one would be stuck waiting around for 5 hours, or be stuck with a long drive with few or no people showing up.
Have a nice life.

I (along with Mrs. CC) plan to be there right at 1500 hours sharp! Maybe it's because I've traveled all over the world, but I'm not the least bit worried about the location. And access from the Lateral sure will work for me, since I'm coming from way up yonder. Maybe we oughta say "3 p.m. 'til..." See you all there!

Okay, at the monthly District 4 police meetings, Paddock Hills LOVES to remind us that they DO have the lowest crime stats in the district and in most of Cincinnati...and its less than 10 minutes from Hartwell (were I do live lol!). And I've never been to that restaurant, so I am looking forward to it especially since I am the only one in my house that loves Chinese food! Please let's eat there...I really want some good Chinese food!

Yum.. woxy was just surprised that the restaurant was still open. Given that the business he used to deliver to down there closed as well as many others in the area, couldn't figure out how they were able to keep open.
