4th and Vine is not a dangerous place to be at any time, day or night, unless there is an event downtown that attracts the thug element in which case bands of thug youth roam downtown, robbing and assaulting anyone in their path. The police are satisfied to heard them north and usually after an hour or so, the risk is gone. This is NEVER reported in the newpaper or tv due to political correctness.

Or maybe it isn't reported because it doesn't happen.

More people+smaller area=more thumbtacks lol

If you're looking for Downtown living zero crime, you'll have to move to Malta. If you can think of a major city that you'd desire to live in, post the city and I'll post crime stats for its Downtown. Looking forward to it!
Point well taken The per capita crime is less. Still I was surprised to see three armed robberies in a one block area in a couple week window. Would suck to be strolling out for espressso and lose the wallet

Your chances on having a wreck on 75 are greater.

I checked old "Cincinavigator" for crime... lol
I'm assuming the "lol" has the same meaning as it does with me.

Well, I did drive through downtown at 8:30 tonight. And, I did have my camera. And, I did take a few photos. And, there was nothing going on but a movie on Fountain Square and an ambulance on Vine Street for a person on the sidewalk, and a posse of valet parkers at Ruby's. But in order not to appear insensitive, I'm not going to post the photos. Just about every one contains some unfortunate person on a corner or lying down on the sidewalk, or eating some bad looking fast food, and I just don't think we need any more of that imagery. Suffice it to say. downtown is not what I would call vibrant. But, I'm not going to add any more fuel to the fire.
