Default Glendale's Finest on I-75...

Was driving North on I-75 through the suburb of Glendale. Sitting on the shoulder were a man and a woman changing a tire. Now the shoulder here was a little wider so maybe they weren't in as much danger as they would be on a normal emergency shoulder. But not more than a carlength or so on the North side of them was a Glendale cop running radar. Instead of maybe shining his lights on the tire changing and using his "disco lights" to warn the approaching traffic, HE thought it would be great to use them as camouflage... So much for "Protect & Serve"...

Glendale or Lincoln Hts?????

One of the finest speed traps in the area. If he helped them, it would hurt his quota.

What is it, 1 mile, or less? Every ticket helps

Well, it is nearing the end of the month.

I have had one (1) positive experience with a local cop, on a Friday afternoon in I-71 through Montgomery. Got a flat, and had the spare on the wheel by the time a cop came out to help. He apologized for taking so long, tightened the lug nuts and made sure the car was OK, then called a couple of tire stores for me until he found one with the tire I needed.

Maybe it was the beginning of the month ...

In all fairness, I've had good interaction with law enforcement (even as a truck driver...) So this is just one observation out of YEARS worth of sightings and encounters. I've noticed that ALL of the 'burbs that I-75 cuts through on it's way to the I-275 have radar units out on I-75 capturing revenue. And, to be fair, there are SO many stupid drivers REALLY speeding that they don't even bother with you at 5-7 mph over. As often as I run through there, I haven't been stopped yet!

What was Glendale doing on I-75? I-75 doesn't pass through the village!

Was it the police car, or the new golf cart? : )

Glendale does go to the southbound part of I-75 where the enterance ramp to S-75 is....that is about it, the other side is shared/split with Springdale & Evendale (according to the map of Glendale on their web page)

I THOUGHT it was Glendale; sounds like I'm mistaken... Was a dark-colored Dodge cruiser, if that helps better identify the P.D.

I'm not doubting Crew Chief's visual and will concede Hartwell's observation. Landmark's recent consideration of building a retirement home on their land (largely in Evendale), did have tax implications for Glendale, and it is that land which borders I-75. I think the I-75 frontage may be as much as 50 yards. Not much of a speed trap!
