There were two tornadoes that evening. The other one was in Elmwood Place if I remember. My father told us that he saw two tornadoes that evening from the loading dock at the St. Bernard P&G plant.

You are far more likely to be wiped out on I-75 or 71 by someone texting in the next vehicle.

Really tornadoes are not worth worrying about - when the siren goes off go to your basement.
I watched that tornado from the parking lot of Revco on Seymour ave near Reading Rd.

Cincy gets bad thunder storms, there have been a few tornadoes in the past.

Wherever you live, Mother Nature always has something up her sleeve. Fires, floods, earthquakes (yes, we have even had a few earthquakes--very minor-- in the Cincy area.), severe fog, hurricanes (we even had hurricane Ike come through last year and most of the cincy area was without electricity for several days) and seasonal allergies!!!!!!!

If you move here, I'd be more worried about ice storms. They are a ****** to try and drive through

No place is safer tjhan any other, all areas of the country have their weather issues.

A THERE IS WILSON AGAIN trying to get his dig about Hartwell in....not such a classy move Wilson as it did cause a lot of damage in Hartwell and a mother and her children were killed. So, keep your smart comments to yourself and as I've said before, if you have a problem with me, keep it with me, but quit using my neighborhood as a way to tick me off. Sooner or later your going to realize what jerk you come off as.

After that tornado in Hartwell, they were picking up old hubcaps and beer bottles all over Hamilton County.

Cincinnati's weather is a lot better than most major metro areas out there. We just get the heavy thunderstorms every now and then, with a lot of rain. Winter is not that bad, snow is not too heavy, we have some heavy snowfalls, but nothing like they do farther north.

And Ike was an extreme rariety. I still remember that, it was bad. For as far north as it had traveled from Texas, it still packed a punch here in Ohio.

Te weather will be very comparable to what you currently xperience in Charleston straight down the line. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!
You may have a point. I've lived in Charleston, WV for 6 six years. I asked around and found out there was a Tornado here in 1999, which was the same year as the one that hit Cincy. Who knows, it may have been the same tornado.

I am currently out of the area. I have contacted friends, but keep forgeting to ask about the Cincy area. How bad was the flooding in the area yesterday? Was it really bad? A lot of damage? Or was it just a lot of rain, and nothing like Kentucky?

I'm in Deerfield Township and we had rain with no flooding. I have not heard about flooding in the area.
