Do you remember Paul Dixon's chicken wedding? Here's a chance to see it!
Channel 5, WLWT in Cincinnati, gets more requests for this silly program than any other. As a result the will re-air the chicken wedding on Monday, September, 6, 2009, at 10 p.m. right after the WEBN fireworks.
If you don't remember this bit of tv history, here's your chance to view it. For those of us who do remember it, here's a chance to relive the utter silliness of this iconic Cincinnati tv moment.

The fireworks are usually on Sunday, the night before Labor Day. I saw the Cincinnati.com article yesterday, but didn't note the date. Are you sure it is not Sunday, Sept. 6th?
EDITTED~ the 6th is Sunday, not Monday.

OK, here it is. I didn't get it then and I still don't get it now. That was probably the dumbest show of all time on TV
Now, I finally got it off my chest!!!!!!!

When Paul Dixon got the zippered cloth case for the big salami he was selling on his show, and daily he would get some poor female in the audience to slowly unzip the case to some musical accompaniment with the camera close up of the big sausage coming out of the zippered case, that was it for Paul Dixon in our house. He was toast, verboten, disgraced and undesirable. His name was mud.
I'm sure by todays' standards, it was a pretty mild offense, but back then it was a big deal.
