I just went through a house the other day on Central Ave. in Lockland ... built in 1880 I believe, will hold up better than anything built today.

Cincy Rise, if you're looking at houses in Lockland, you better skip over to Hartwell too lol . There are a couple of the big victorians that just went on the market in the past month in the neighborhood....I am watching them to see how long they stay on the market--IMO they are priced well for the market.

Well since we are talking about Beautiful Cincinnati homes, I have to talk about my neighborhood "Knox Hill" over in Fairmount. I love the homes in my neighborhood. It is an enclave of historic architecture few know exist. Most of the homes were built as weekend cottages by the wealthy to get away from the grime of the city between 1840-1885. However there are some grand mansions built between 1885-1900 as well. The pumpkin colored Second Empire Cottage, built in 1871,and undergoing a historic restoration, is ours.

Restoration. Thanks for the great photos. I think I have been through that area a long time ago. I hope the folks moving here see that there is more than just bland suburbia.

Another area is Columbia Tusculum- the Painted ladies!
