Default Parking/Bookstores around UC

Just moved to Cinci and the idea of dropping $120 or so for garage parking that I`ll rarely use doesn't really appeal to me. I live close enough to catch the Bearcat bus but it stops running at 6 and doesn't run my way on the weekend. Thought I`d come here and see if any locals know of any good places to park around the UC campus.

Also I know from past experience that the official college bookstores are a scam when it comes to textbooks, are they aren't cheaper bookstores around?

Thanks in Advance

Text books are mostly available on half.com or amazon used.
