CPS are horrible. Among the nation's worst. If you move here, there is Walnut Hills High School, the School for Creative and Performing Arts, a couple of acceptable primary schools and everything else is drek.

I would check with each of the neighborhood schools in the Cincinnati neighborhood you are interested in. They all have different report cards for each school. Going in and speaking with a principal will help answer any specific questions better. Many think CPS schools are bad, but if I knew what I knew now about our own neighborhood school...we could have saved a lot of money not having to pay the private school fees.

Walnut Hills, Clark Montessori and the School for Creative and Performing Arts are all very good jr. high/high schools within CPS.

CPS has some good schools, but overall their scores are horrible. If you're going to move here there are many excellent suburban school districts that would be better choices. If you go to the Ohio Dept. Education website you can see the ratings for all of our schools for yourself. There's no reason to settle for a mediocre school when excellent public school districts abound.

CPS is good, just do your research by choosing a magnet program.
