Default Milford, OH

I might be relocating for a job in Milford, OH. I was wondering if anyone could suggest the best place to live for a job in that area.

Would like:
-Safe/low-crime (biggest factor for me)
-Good attitude community
-Small town feel

Also, can anyone tell me a little about Milford that wouldn't be in statistics? Preferably from people who live there or very close by.

Milford might work with that criteria, although it is a sterile suburb for the most part.

Mariemont is really cool and not too far off. I'd look there

Oh and what do you mean by sterile suburb? As in the population doesn't grow? Good or bad thing? :P

Milford is an old, small mill town with a thriving little downtown and some beautiful early 20th century homes. It is nowhere near a sterile suburb. Crime is low and the citzenry is very involved.

Sorry, thinking about the crap that I see from the beltway. I really haven't had a chance to venture into the core of town yet, and I wasn't really sure whether it actually had a nice center city like you said or if we were talking about a place like West Chester, Monroe or Fairfield.

Anyways, I just said sterile as a describing verb because I was thinking that Milford was mostly a suburban blob (post 1960's housing in cookie-cutter developments), but that does not appear to be the case. I imagine that both Milford (since I apparently do not know enough about it) and Mariemont (which I know a fair amount more about) would have what you are looking for. Both are prosperous communities.
