You know, for $250,000 - $290,000 there are a TON of great homes in West Chester, and I'm sure they would be large enough to meet your needs. I personally find the people out here to be extremely friendly and caring, and very diverse. And of course Lakota schools are excellent. Maybe your husband could listen to a relaxing CD on his way to work! LOL! And they are building a new medical facility in West Chester, as well as the new hospital up the interstate in Middletown. Either location would be within a 15 minute commute.

Best of luck in your search. I'm sure you'll find something.

Thumbs up West Chester

Hey, if you're familiar with the mosque in West Chester, did you know there is a brand new Ryan subdivision (off Shirley St) being built right behind it? Homes are definitely in your price range, maybe a little less, and you're right there off of I-75, straight shot downtown, with all the shopping & dining you could need right there. That area is very quiet & peaceful, but you're still close to everything. If you would decide to send your kids to public school, Lakota is a great choice. Good Luck hunting!!

Hartwell is a great neighborhood with a wonderful neighorhood school. I dont know what zorset is talking about. The community is on the upswing and is getting a new elem/middle school addition & renovation and new recreation center. Talk to people who live in these neighborhoods instead of those who pass judgement on them for "smells" ?? If we had an odor issue I am sure we would know about it.

hartwell is nice, I would also look at carthage. Carthage has one of the lowest crime rates in the city.
