Cincinnati Children's is an amazing hospital! And the commenter above is right that the Ronald McDonald house, it's a wonderful resource for out-of-town families. But, I can see why you would want to move close for your daughter.
I recommend looking into Delhi or Bridgetown on the west-side of Cinti... it's 20 mins. from Children's, great school district (Oak Hills), and it's very family-oriented. I grew up there and enjoyed it. Some negatives may be (depending on your preferences), it's predominantly a conservative Catholic crowd, and it's not as close to the highway as other neighborhoods. But, the houses are very affordable, the schools are great, and it's very family friendly.
A good small town feel with all the amenities of a city is Deer Park or Dillonvale. These neighborhoods are small, but close to everything and about 15 mins. from Childrens. The Deer Park school district seems pretty good (not quite as good as it's larger neighbor, Sycamore schools) but the schools are all "walking" schools, meaning that since it's such a small community, the schools are within the neighborhood and in walking distance. It's a cute, middle-class neighborhood.
Good luck!
