Default Rental homes in Mason, Middletown and Lebanon?

Hi, I plan on moving at the end of august to Mason, Middletown or Lebanon and plan to rent a house. Can anyone suggest good places to look for house rental listings for these areas. Thanks.

It really depends on what you are looking for. Do you know where you will be working? Here's my 2 cents worth;

Good schools; Mason, Lakota, Monroe, Lebanon

Great value (housing); Monroe, Lebanon

Best value (housing); Monroe

Great Location to both Cincinnati & Dayton from I-75; Monroe, West Chester and Lebanon is right off I-71, but handy to I-75 as well.

Areas to avoid; Middletown (depressed from the AK Steel lockout, & schools are not good, just failed their last levy)

I agree with Linda Pratt; stay away from Middletown if you can. Mason and Lebanon are much nicer areas. They have both been growing a lot recently, with plenty of things to do. Mason is starting to get a little over-crowded though in my opinion, and they continue growing. Lebanon still has some country areas that are very nice, but they are also growing and have many nice subdivisions for families. I would also suggest looking at West Chester and Landen. They neighbor Mason and are very nice areas, though I do not know how many rentals are available. If you could afford places in Mason, those would also be in your price range. Good luck finding something!

Middletown is cheap, but if you have kids in school then I would go elsewhere.

A lot of the rentals in Lebanon are apartments and duplexes. Finding a single family house as a rental may be difficult.

BTW - here's a link to the real estate section of the local newspaper; Ohio Rental Properties / Rental Listings in Ohio (broken link) (just enter the towns; Mason, Middletown or Lebanon)
Also, Lebanon has it's own forum with a "classified" section for rental homes;
Lebanon Classifieds - Topix
