Who in the world can afford those monsters? How many more mansions need to be built in this area before they start focusing on building some quality, smaller homes that are more affordable?

Holy *%*$&#@!!!!!!!!!

Those are some humongous houses! I wanna know who's buying them (and who's paying to heat and cool them), too -- and are they moving into these houses from a house featured in Homearama 2000? I could totally see that happening ... Whatever ...

Are some of the houses right on Montgomery Road? It's hard to tell -- but if so, that's just weird. I really wouldn't pay a kazillion bucks for a house on a major artery.

It simply boggles my mind that wherever I go anymore out away from the heart of the city, they just keep building these new subdivisions with massive homes that must cost at least $500,000 or more. I mean, are there REALLY that many rich people in the area? And if so, what in the world do they do for a living that pays them enough to afford these things? How in the world did I miss the boat?

I don't really think there are that many rich people in this area. It's the culture of consumerism and keeping up with the Joneses that creates the market for these monstrosities. People simply do not live within their means anymore. Can't be satisfied with a simple 3 bed 1.5 bath home. Every kid has to have their own bathroom now and heaven forbid that they actually have to share a room. Quelle horreur!!!
