Hey everybody - I am moving to the Cincy area from Dayton and am interested in living in the Hyde Park / Mt. Lookout area. I am single and would like to find a place that is pretty affordable. I only pay about $450 /month right now up in Dayton. I'm sure I'll have to fork out a little more than that around Cincy.

I'm basically looking for suggestions on apartment complexes in that area. Thanks!

Unless things have changed radically, I doubt if you'll find an apartment in that price range in Hyde Park or Mt. Lookout.

OTOH, you might be able to find an apartment on one of the complexes on Beechmont Ave. in Mt. Washington and that might include heat in some cases. That would put you about three miles east of Mt. Lookout.

$450 a month won't even get you a 'slum apartment' in many neighborhoods of Cincinnati, especially in Hyde Park/Mt Lookout which is one of the more expensive places to live in the city.

You might want to consider a roomate situation if you are in that price range.

I don't think the apartment complexes in the area are really worth the money as they are expensive and generally small. I do know that there are a couple of houses in the area. I just moved out of a house due to the fact that I got married and I know the boys are looking for someone to take my spot. It's on Erie Ave, 2 blocks from the 'high street'. It's a really nice house, and the guys are great. Let me know if you would be interested. I'm not sure what the rent would be but if you are interested please let me know.
I believe it's move in ready!
