First it was snacks in Corryville, then it was dinner in Paddock Hills, and most recently it was breakfast in West Chester. Now it's time to cross the viaducts and have lunch on the other side of the sauerkraut curtain! The next gathering of Cincy C-D posters and lurkers will transpire as follows:

Date/time: Sunday, April 18, 1-4 PM
Place: Ron's Roost; 3853 Race Rd, Cincinnati (Western Hills/Bridgetown)
Who's welcome: Any and all C-D contributors and/or readers, and their families ("some material may be inappropriate for small children")
Read all about the meet-up venue: Ron's Roost Restaurant and Bar - Cincinnati

I'm already torn between ordering the sauerbraten and checking out the "famous, award-winning" fried chicken m'self. But my first taste of that west-side delicacy called hot bacon slaw will definitely happen.

So follow the signs and follow the cars...wait a sec, that was the Kash's Bargain Barn commercial

Can't wait!!! Already put in for Sunday night off so i can set a spell with everyone and enjoy the food without having to leave early enough to get my "beauty sleep" for work. (I couldn't leave early enough to make myself better-looking, anyway...)

Oooh. Venturing over to the West Side, are we? I can taste that chicken already.

ETA: Note to self: Do not stay with friends in Milford on this trip.

Going to try and make it. It will be nice to put faces to all those people I have offended since joining. Hope I don't get lost, have absolutely no idea where Bridgetown is. But I figure it has to be somewhere between I-74 and the river.

There's a Google map linked from the restaurant's site
I feel your pain as a native east-sider. The goyguy family joke is to not let anybody set out for Cheviot, Green Twp, etc without provisions and a compass. (Of course today it'd be a GPS.) Search parties are to be called in if the person on a mission isn't back by nightfall.
BTW leftover Easter candy can be brought to this, speaking of provisions.

GG, that is always my dilemma. I love the fried chicken (also the baked chicken) but it is hard for me to pass up the Bavarian Platter with it's saurbraten, potato pancake and German Mett and red cabbage.

If you like chicken livers, I have never tasted better. The barbeque ribs are just ok.

But seriously, for those who are undecided, take a road trip and join us.
