I been living in Cincinnati for a couple of years i thought Cincinnati did not have traffic but they DO. I think the I-71 and the I-75 are all freeways with bad traffic. I-75 is in really bad shape the I 71 just had construction in 1999 and we already have traffic problems here again.
When are they going to wide those freeways to 6 or 7 lanes right now there each 3-5 lanes.

Nonsense. At 5 am there is next to no one on I71 South.

I don't know about I71, but we've traveled I75 in both directions early in the morning and have never encountered much traffic even on a weekday.

Worst in the nation? LMAO, do you travel much? I-75 in Cincinnati is not that bad.

And yes, Cincinnati's traffic is bad, but nothing even remotely compared to other cities. I am from Philly, and traffic out that way is a mess, and even Philly isn't that bad compared to other cities in the NE.

Typically, we rank right up there with the nation's largest cities year over year regarding traffic congestion. This is an embarrassment considering the average daily commuters and hours lost annually. If I'm not mistaken, it's somewhere between 11,000-15,000 hours lost annually in Cincinnati, BUT the number of commuters is significantly lower.

This equates to us not having enough lanes (lol) or inadequate options for daily drivers. We're also the nation's 24th largest metro. If we had a larger population, sure this would justify our traffic ratings, but if you have an MSA that doubles or triples yours and their residents spend less time on the road, then there is a problem ... am I wrong here?

Yes. Twice a day, on about 10 miles of highway, one can have a 15 minute delay. Sometimes that delay can be 25 minutes over normal commute time.

On the Kennedy alone, in Chicago, they have 10 times the distance and 5 times the wait. It is not uncommon to spend an hour or more East of the airport for westbound traffic. That is one of six similar Xways. And, Chicago has the best rail commuter system going.

We do not have a traffic problem here. We have a solution (rail) seeking a problem.
