Hi all,
I need to get from the Holiday Inn in Eastgate to the Dayton International Airport early in the morning in a few weeks. Does anyone know of a cheap shuttle service that could do this? I see Cincinnati doesn't have the Super Shuttle, but I was hoping there was another alternative to paying over $130 to a taxi service. Thanks in advance!

My intiaial reaction was a one-way Hertz rental Batavia - Dayton but that would be $199.

Do realize that you are talking about a 75 mile ride. $130 does not seem too unreasonable and would be a lot less than what Super Shuttle would charge.

As commented, you are talking about a 75 mile ride. Dayton and Cincinnati are not exactly directly connected by public transportation services.

Depending on the reason you are staying at Holiday Inn Eastgate, my advice would be to book a room at the Dayton Airport Hotel, right on Terminal Drive for the night before and coerce someone to drive you there. Offer to buy dinner and drinks, even gas, and you will be way ahead.

Would it be possible to ride a bike to get there? Technically it would not cost any money to get there; you would just have to pedal the bike. You said you have several weeks before the plane leaves, so that gives you plenty of time to ride up there; you could take your time, although I think you could get there in about 8 hours. Pack your belongings in a backpack. Just buy a rusted old bike off of craigslist for $40 and then when you get to the airport, just leave the bike there, or ask them to throw it away/recycle it. Done, and done!
