I was interested when it first started because I thought it was going to be about actual fighters/boxers not who can talk about how tough their city is.

But you knew it was going to get like this. This had no chance of staying with professional fighters/boxers. None.

I knew it in my first post of the thread, which was 15 posts into it, but I tried to give it a shot at staying on that topic.

I am not going to bother with the other trend this thread seems to be taking since it has been overdone too many times.
Edit: I couldn't take my own advice and avoid the other trend it was taking though, had to throw a few comments out there.

Me too. While we've got this lull in the talk about whose city's gangs are toughest, I'll say something about pro fighters. Pound for pound, one town I'll say can make a really good accounting of itself is Brockton, MA. Population of only 93k, yet this little city produced both Rocky Marciano and Marvin Hagler.

Okay, I guess it's back to the smack talk.
I think pound for pound no one could touch Ailey, Georgia because Sugar Ray Robinsons came from there and only had about 300 population. He did grow up in Detroit though which is another great spot, you had the Kronk Gym where a bunch of greats trained, not sure where Robinson trained but Hearns, Spinks and a bunch of others trained there.
