New York by Far, when coming from the east is simply incredible

Pittsburgh, Minneapolis and Cincinnati can be great too.

Spare me some slack man. Pittsburgh may have the most dramatic entrance, but it is not the best entrance (I have been through that tunnel for a visit at the Univ of Pitt). My favorite entrance is New York coming from my hometown Philadelphia. After Newark, there's nothing but a 20 minute drool of seeing Manhattan's skyline just kicking f*****g serious ass and I just stare at it like I just saw the hottest chick in the world. It is that awesome. Manhattan doesn't need a dramatic entrance...it kicks ass the whole time.

Lol.

There are spots through out the boroughs where manhattans skyline would just pop up unexpectedly. Those are the coolest

The Brooklyn-Queens expressway gives a nice lateral view of Manhattan...especially when you cross that small bridge where the boroughs Brookyln and Queens divide.

I've been to nearly all major cities in the US, but driving to New York and approaching Manhattan always puts this huge dorky grin on my face. LOL.

My personal favorite spot to see the Manhattan skyline is from Frank Sinatra Drive in Hoboken.

I agree with Philadelphia and some of your picks. But Pittsburgh almost can't be beat as the Golden Triangle appears out of nowhere as you pass thru the Squirrel Hill tunnel for instance.

New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco are great to drive in to. I love driving right alongside Chicago on Lake Shore Drive and driving down the Las Vegas Strip as well.

Sacramento and Denver are good when coming in from the north.

Obviously NYC, but some other nice ones are Chicago, Philly and SF.
