Chicago coming in from the Kennedy (I-90) is pretty sweet IMO. It juxtapositions the skyline to show Uptown, Midtown and Downtown -- if you will. It's always a pretty impressive end to my drive from Minneapolis!

I'm not too familiar with the roads around NYC, but the most beautiful/memorable and fun rides I've done were both driving into Manhattan. Once in a cab at night from LaGuardia Airport, and once coming from New Jersey. I remember the Empire State Building was lit up green! The views were beautiful and dramatic.

There are a few nice drives into San Francisco too. Driving into the city from the north especially. Beautiful.

Pittsburgh from the West (under the tunnel) is my favorite. I also like Chicago from the South. St Paul from the South on Hwy 52 is prett sweet too coming around the bluff and over the Mississippi.

YouTube - Full Lake Shore Drive - North to South

It's a bit long, but totally worth watching!

New York from any direction- because it's impossible not to be impressed

San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge- simply stunning

Las Vegas from any direction- your driving through middle of nowhere desert, and then this bright, glittery city suddenly appears, just like a mirage

NYC and San Francisco.

SF coming in from the Bay Bridge is pretty amazing, especially. NYC from all sides!
