I don't really have a preference. There's a good lot of cities from every category. Like for small San Francisco is an example, and large Los Angeles, etc...
By the way total land area for NYC is 304 square miles, it should be classified as a "large city" lol according to your list. But yeahhh, lol, land wise it would fit the bill for medium sized.
