Florida has plenty of gyro spots. I've also seen street venders in Miami and Tampa. Ofcourse New York has them as well. Just a question, why did Chicago banned them?

New York has some of the best food in the universe. Visit a Jewish Deli sometime and you'll know what I mean. I never thought a pastrami sandwich could taste so good.

Breaded chicken empanada and fried yucca with a cold sugar cane drink in Miami. Very good.

(My Spanish in fact is limited to order food and adding words like "with" and "drink" required me use a translator)

Un empanda de pollo por favore! Gracias! Si gringo!
Miami also has some FANTASTIC Cuban food!

I've been here 40 years and the food still amazes me. While everyone can learn to make good wings ( if you follow the original recipe) there is something about the perfect kimmelweck roll with beef piled high and fresh horseradish on it and gravy on the side that can't be topped. Or, pierogi if you go to one of the places you can buy homemade... I just can't get the dough and fillings so perfect.

Buffalo
Okay, I have to add Buffalo to my list after that description.

florida has plenty of places that sell pizza too, but the quality just isn't there. they usually use preformed meats, not making their wraps, yogurt is off, etc... lots can go wrong. there are some decent amount of greeks in fl though, so i know where you are cmoing from.

It depends where you go, I've been to a place in FL that sells New York style pizza and it tastes better than anything I've had outside of NY. Like I said before, I also went into an Italian restaurant in Florida, ordered some cannoli's and they seriously tasted the same/if not better than the ones I've always had in New Jersey. Yeah Tarpon Springs, Florida is loaded with Greeks. "Tarpon Springs is notable for having the highest percentage of Greek-Americans of any city in the US." - Wikipedia.
