While there are some blighted urban areas and industrial development especially along the main ports the vast majority of the state is very pretty - this is the most unimformed stereotype of Jersey. But yes it is more crowded than most areas of the country but again that is less than half of the state
I like NJ best, I get to live in a rural small town and yet still be fairly close to two major U.S. cities and the ocean. Plus, having traveled the state extensively I know that the stereotypes are about 98% B.S.
I don't like NY as much as NJ, mainly because of the ocean thing. Plus, I'm much more sentimental about my home state.
New Hampshire sounds pretty awesome from what I've heard, but it's too far removed from major cities for my taste.
The number one reason why I could never live in New Mexico, and probably never will, is that it is very hot, dry, far from the ocean, and is mostly desserts (spelling?/please correct me if I'm wrong about NM)
New Mexico's full of illegals, poverty, and gangs
Not my place.
But who's dumb enough to focus on the stereotypes? People living in NM?!
and all this time I thought New Mexico was this ultra liberal blue state where people are so accepting and progressive, at least that is how some people make it out to be, but in reality, its probably more related to Mississippi than it is Oregon.
