Lol, there's still no clear cut winner even with the redefined criteria.
Houston's port & medical center, Dallas's telecommunication, Atlanta's media stations, Miami's international business attractions & cruise liner...
Take any of those out, and you cripple the south completely.
Houston pretty much dominates in oil and gas exploration in the south. I'd be more pissed about losing our natural resources than cruise liners and CNN.
I think this thread has been made quite a lot before.
They are all important in different ways.
Miami- Because of it's tourist appeals, shopping, night life, beaches, scenery, and lifestyle (the more laid back). Cruise line port, international businesses from Latin American countries/Caribbean countries.
Houston- Because of the Port of Houston, which is the 2nd largest port in the country in total overall tonnage. IAH is an expanding airport, it's also the fastest growing airport in America. The economy is also good, and it's expanding in other sectors.
Dallas- This city has a very diverse economy, it's also a great airport facility, and has plenty of room to expand without worries. Finance, telecommunications, IT, and other sectors are expanding rapidly. Banking also has a large presence here
Atlanta- Pretty diverse economy, good media outlet, and is a good attraction for northeast migrants. Atlanta also has a good night life and has a good location, the worlds busiest airport, and other sectors.
All the cities are different but equal in their own ways. No competition, the South does not have any one city that stands alone above the other three.
Tell me about it, and I agree. Also, Miami may be laid back in certain areas, but it's actually pretty fast-paced believe it or not.
That really made me laugh, seriously. "I haven't even heard of any of those cities" -dead
I think he meant as far as threads are concerned.
