For Pittsburgh it has many nightlife neighborhood, but the one that takes the cake is the Southside and Carson Street area...25 long blocks of bustling nightlife.
I'm going to step in and remind folks to please limit the number of pics you put up in each post, and also limit their sizes, in order to make sure the thread doesn't bog down as it grows.
Please try to keep pics at or around 800 pixels in size, and post no more than 6 per post. Make sure YOU are the person who took it or it's from a free photo sharing area like a wiki site, or you risk having it removed due to copyright issues.
There are several for New York, probably lately the Meatpacking District has the reputation as the most infamous.
Interestingly, there has been a movement to botique hotels being at the center of trendy of New York nightlife - descibed in THISNew York Magazine article.
Its not my cup of tea however... I still enjoy bars with cheap delicious beer.

That seems to be the trend in a lot of places now-a-days.
