In some sense a summer baseball game doesn't seem the same under a roof. Yet, in August at 90 degrees with high humdity I am sure I'd prefer the roof.
I'm sure its more for rain and possible indoor concerts than the humidity...

Actually yes, I think the Marlins will have much better attendance with this new ballpark. First off, it's closer to downtown so that alone will attract more people. Also it will have a retractable roof, one of the main reasons people don't go to Marlins games is because it can be hot as hell sitting out there in the sun at times. I think the City of Miami will benefit a lot with this new stadium.
